A Day in the Life of an Accounts Assistant!

I have been working at Evolve for almost 6 years and started off as an apprentice.

My daily tasks include dealing with emails and phone calls, collecting payments, completing bank reconciliations and posting sales/purchase invoices accordingly.  I also help our finance director with credit control and together we are responsible for making sure that the flow of costs and revenues between the various clients, customers and assessors are accurately accounted for and managed.

My job also consists of managing the self-billing system, sending out client statements, processing our monthly reconciliations, setting up payments, dealing with Petty Cash and Payroll.

May day is usually kept very busy, but if I have any spare time, I lend a hand to the property services team by quality checking data sent in by our property professionals before returning it to our clients.
