MEES for Landlords

Get In Touch

Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) was a legal requirement introduced in April 2018 and made it a legal requirement for all properties available to let must have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of at least an ‘E’

Landlords will need to ensure their properties are energy efficient to protect the value of their asset and to ensure that they remain lettable. The law will further change in April 2020 when the regulations will extend to all residential rented property even if the property has an existing tenant and again in April 2023 to include all existing commercial leases.

We have a nationwide network of assessors available to complete EPCs to establish the energy rating of a property and can also provide advice to suggest improvements to increase a properties rating where needed.
